McCourt's Books-

Here is a little background information on Frank McCourt:
Frank McCourt was born on August 19, 1931 in Brooklyn. However, in 1934, he and his family moved to Limerick, Ireland. His father abandoned the family when he was 11 and left Angela, Frank's mother, in charge of all four children, Frank, Malachy, Micheal and Alphie. He quit school at age 13 and had to work at a few different jobs and at getting the family food. At age 19, McCourt returned to the U.S and got a job teaching. He recieved his master degree in 1958. After about 30 years, Frank ended his teaching career. He wrote Angela's Ashes, 'Tis and Teacher Man.

Interesting Fact about McCourts's writing: McCourt does not use quotation marks in his writing, meaning readers must pay close attention to determine when someone else is speaking as opposed to the narrator himself.
